The building also has signs of abandonment, but this one is far the worst. No glass is left in any of the windows. Many of the windows are boarded up with wood. All the piping in the building has been removed for scarp metals. The grounds of the Motor Plant is filled with debris, trash and anything else just scattered around. It's just an secluded building that has remnants of machines still left inside the building. It's a safe place to come too if rainy or cold, but other than that nothing else is really here.
The hospital is a long rectangular windowed building. The smashed windows and tossed debris states that the building is also abandoned. Homeless human and canines alike come here for a dry place to sleep. There's plenty of rooms filled with unused hospital beds, but beggars can't be choosers. The hospital also has a large parking garage.
This building has long since been abandoned, and it's clear from the way the building looks. The majority of the windows are shattered, all the piping in the building has been striped, and every door inside has been ripped off. It's very easy access inside the building, and once inside it's a sadder experience. Debris, homeless citizens, and the decaying building is scattered everywhere. In some places within the building, the roof is caving in, leaving little protection from rain, and mold is starting to take it's hold on the structure.
The casino is abandoned, but still looks alive. The creator of the building had solar powered lights made within the building exterior. At night time, the building lights up of fading neon colors of the rainbow. It can be see for miles away, but sadly the placed if shut down. Missing glass and boarded windows is also seen on this building. But inside, is still nice and lively. The place looked like how it did when it was open, with a beautifully tiled floor, nice black leather couches, that leads to many different rooms, including the casino's hotel.
The theater from the outside is a large cement building with tiny, systematical windows going up along building. Outside the building is the fox's theater sign. At night, the sign is brightly lit up, the word FOX, can be seen for miles surrounded by winged lions. Inside the theater is beautiful, rich colors of burgundy and gold touches everything inside. The walls have decorative designs painted everywhere on them, as the ceilings are cathedral style, with even more intricate decor scattered around. Rows and rows of burgundy fabric seats fill the inside of the building, as the golden stage lays in front of the chairs.
Somerset is a large shopping center. It's a five story building, full of stores and restaurants. Shoppers who are dog-lovers come here, since the place allows animals. The mall itself is very nice, and open, a large spacious place with many little shops and small stands throughout. During certain seasons the place ranges from busy to slow, but usually stays pretty steady all year long.
The church is a large red building, with high ceilings, and a hard tile floor. The church is beautifully decorated. All the windows are stained glass, and every inch of wall inside has some sort of biblical art form. The church is always open, but usually is mostly active on Sunday mornings. Most people who come to St. Anthony's also brings their furry companion along with them. The church is setup where there's a fenced off section, available exclusively for the people's canines. There's a doggy door, big enough for most sized dogs, so access outside is always allowed. There's nothing too fancy about the yard, besides a large oak tree, and large buckets filled with food and water.
The train station is a very busy place. It is government funded so the building isn't properly taken care of. The medieval style building is sadly decaying away. Several trains come and go a day, including people. . It's a highly populated with human activity. To some dogs the place may be too noisy or busy for the average feral being, while other dogs don't mind human companionship.
The meat market is a small scaled down version of a grocery store. Selling the basic food necessaries as well as fresh cut meat. The owner of the market does not allow canines inside, but that doesn't stop the strays of the streets from getting inside. It seems as though the market always has a stray dog lurking around it, is probably why he does not allow dog's within, or perhaps he is not a dog-lover himself, but either way that doesn't mean that dog's haven't entered inside.
The Station is fairly active, open 24 hours and is in walking distance for both subdivision and apartment complex. The station is fairly old, but it is the only one in the city, so it is extremely busy. The owners of the gas station is dog-friendly, allowing dogs inside the store. Usually, there's bowls of food and water placed around for the canine customers.
The main neighborhood is a small subdivision branched off Maple street. People who can afford to live in an house, live in here. The houses range from high-class to low-class. There are some abandoned homes in the sub, but for the most part everyone takes care of their homes. Many pets live in here, or at the apartments.
The dog park is a five acre squared off section of land. The fence surrounded is 8 feet tall, in the means to keep dogs inside. The park is open to anyone, and most dog owners bring their dog's here for safe exercise and wonderful socialization. There's a human area where picnic tables and benches are placed, allowing them comfort while their dog's play. For the dogs, it is equipped with an agility section, so owners can easily train for that if wanted. Dog houses are placed through out as well as in-ground water bowls that the creator of the park designed. In the summer, there is access to water sprinklers and hoses for a nice fun cool down or if a pet becomes too stinky.
The apartments are a low-income, and with that things start to get a little blurry. The buildings are nice however, just long sandy colored brick formed into small compact homes. The apartments also has park within it as well. Many residents here also own canines.
Many people in Detroit are dog orientated and Luigi knows this. So, he made his restaurant available for all customers. There is a dog-friendly menu, so even they can be fed a nice Italian style meal. The restaurant itself is more decorated as a Coney island more so than a five-star restaurant.
The yard is 10 acres filled with cars, couches, old trailers, metal, rust and anything else in between that. The property is fenced off, but that doesn't mean that the fence surrounding it doesn't have holes and weak points to get inside the secured yard. There really isn't many trees or shrubs located here, but it doesn't seem to matter for all the hallowed out cars, broken trailers and punctured boats just laying around.
The cemetery is a fairly large place. The oldest headstone in the place dates back to 1895, but it is still in active use today. There's stoned paths through every main part of the graveyard, making it easy visitation. There's many mausoleums and large headstones scattered around, and if it weren't for them, the property could almost be considered a small forest. It's a peaceful graveyard, one that portrays grieving instead of creepiness.
No one really knows why it's called Coyote grove. Perhaps, because it's just a little piece of land with a creek running through it. Because of the easy access to water, it becomes the perfect spot for feral mothers. The grove is tiny compared to the forest on the island, but it's compacted with a variety of trees and animal life. Deer, mink, and beavers, as well as plenty of other animals can be found here, making it a good source of food. The land is abundant and highly fertile making it rich is life for all lives of the ecosystem.
The grassland is simply beautiful, with long green grass flowing in the wind. It's a good relaxation spot since it's in-between woods and a mountain range. The meadow is secluded, making it feel safer for mothers to allow her children to roam freely in the grassy lands. It's a place of blissfulness and calmness. Nothing ever bad seems to happen here...
The mountain range is somewhat large, and sections off mainland from the island, with the water in front of it. The journey from the mainland to the island is somewhat a long expedition, since crossing the mountains takes a day itself. That's not including crossing the water or even the meadows. Round trip probably takes about a week, but the adventure takes you through many different areas, that many adventurous people would love to see. It's amazing hiking grounds for humans and canines that love to explore and travel to different places.
The beach is called Black Rock, because the rocks that are on the land look like smaller version of the mountains behind it, in all shapes and sizes covering the beach floor. Obviously, closer towards the water there is sand, but i's mostly jugged rocks and terrain that consists of this beach. The wind here is harsh, since the mountain ranges pushes it back towards the water, making winters here especially cold. However, during the warmer seasons, the beach is a nice place to go if you're wanting to get out of the summer heat. The city made a road inside the mountain, making it available for humans also.
The caves is technically apart of the falls, but there's more to these than just water. There's dozens of different caves of all sizes and depths to explore, making it fun and interesting for those that love to explore, or for the ones that need a place to rest. Either way, many make their homes here, while others just want to see the beautiful objects in nature.
Obsidian Falls is a small size water fall that makes a river run through the island, leading to a large inland lake. The waterfall is connected to a bunch of caves surrounding it, and behind the falling water lays a cave, adding the waterfall to the list of caves that surrounded this land. It's a mountainous region, with some flat dry land, but for the most part it's rocky and slippery.
The lake is named exactly how it sounds. It seems as though the water never moves here, even though there's flowing water to it. This could be because the lake is so deep and wide, the small current of the river does not cause the water to ripple heavily.. For the namesake of the lake, whole body reflections can be see inside pitch black water. The lake is surrounded by woods, which can easily be seen in the motionless water.
