The Azgeda
Summary The Azgeda are a merciless tribe with ideals unlike any of the packs. They are technologically advanced in ways of weapons and armor, two skills that if leaked to the outside packs is punishable by an extremely painful death. The Azgeda are ruled by females, only females may become commanders; males are warriors (and in some cases healers). Azgeda are known for their fearlessness during battle and for their intelligence and manipulative nature during negotiations.
Key Points • Led by 1 female • Mutations are not tolerated. • Everyone pulls his or her own weight. • Merciless and fearless • Creates alliances when it benefits them. • Bi-lingual (used when around outsiders) • Wear armor during war/raids • Slight Religious beliefs.
Rules
1. What the Heda says is final, there is no negotiating.
2. Loyalty and Respect is of the utmost importance among the Azgeda.
3. Mutations or deformities (blindness, deafness etc.) are not tolerated and such dogs are immediately cast out of the Tribe, if the mother chooses to raise them, then she too must leave. If the Heda agrees, the mother may return once the pup is able to fend for itself. Additionally, fantasy fur colors are considered a mutation and will be dealt with the same as any other abnormality. Odd markings(natural coat colors) and eye colors are exempt from this rule.
4. Everyone has a job to do and is expected to pull their own weight. Laziness and slackers are punished, if not kicked out entirely.
5. All original and IC born Tribal dogs are bi-lingual, but aside from certain words, it is not spoken unless around outsiders and secrecy is important. (Croatian language)
6. Yes, Azgeda wear armor, but it is not of medal, but of bone, stones, wood, hides.
7. The Azgeda believe in the Right of Passage. Children coming into adulthood are given tasks to complete on their own, failure means remaining at pup status for another year.
8. Rape is no tolerated among Azgeda, if you are found to have commited such an act, the penalty is being castrated.
9. Romantic relations outside of the Tribe are strictly forbidden unless you have the Heda's permission.
10. Any breaking of the rules will result in punishment determined by the Heda.

To Join
Outsiders can join the Tribe, but there are stipulations to joining as an outsider. Note, upon probationary acceptance said dog is subject to all rituals/punishments and is still expected to pull their own weight in the ranks. This probation can last from 1 season to 4 depending on arrival time.
First 10 members are Original members and aren't subject to this.
1. To join, one must seek out the Heda in the city- not at the Tribes headquarters.
2. Your acceptance is probationary for up to 1 year, when it is time for the Right of Passage all probationary members will go through this same Ceremony. Failure means denial into the Tribe, Success is to become a full Tribe member.
Ceremonies
• Right of Passage— Children coming of age are given three tasks based off the rank they wish to become. These tasks are meant to physically and mentally test the participant. The Heda assigns the tasks based on the individual. The first is within the Tribe, whether it be to fight a skilled warrior or heal an injury. The second is on Belle Isle and is based solely on survival. The Third is to prove your worthiness and is held off the island. This is hardest test, and given there is no rest between tasks, this focuses on strength of mind as well as physically.
• Death Penalty— Issued for many reasons, but a Ceremony that is not cheerful. Each member of the Tribe takes turns making deep lacerations and bites all over the accused. When the Heda is satisfied (or the dog dies of blood loss) they are taken/tossed, into the water when the tide is receding where the shore is watched so the accused cannot swim back to shore. They either swim to the city, drown, or meet death some other way.
• Loss of Life— A somber Ceremony where the Tribe buries a loved one. A blood relative is given the choice of a water burial (during the receding tide) or an earth burial. It is followed with feasting and sharing stories to bring the Tribe together.
• New Life— When someone gives birth it is celebrated with games, feasts, stories ect. All children are seen as equal, even the Heda’s young.
• War Cries— Whenever there are any war parties/ raids, there will always be a Ceremony before hand. Depending on the type of battle that lays ahead will determine the type of Celebration. It begins with a speech to boost morale and ready for the coming fight, there is fire and ‘dancing’, light sparring and towards the end the warriors place war paint on one another.
• Deities— Azgeda are strong believers in two Deities, Kries- the God of Wrath and Koleda- the Goddess of Love. Two polar opposites and each praised, prayed to and sacrificed to equally. Kries is whom they turn to when rage is what they need. During War- Cries, Kries is whom they pray towards to increase their anger and blood lust. It is Kries they offer all traitors to. Kries has his own Ceremony at the end of Fall/beginning of Winter. Koleda is whom they turn towards when celebrating life, the loss of loved ones, and marriage. When times are hard and rage will not help them, Koleda, their nurturing mother is whom they pray to. Koleda has her own Ceremony at the beginning of Spring.
